Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls

Legend has it that angels secretly came down and enjoyed bathing here.
In the lower pond, there are Anguilla marmorata that have been designated and protected as Natural Monument No. 27. In addition, the place where Elaeocarpus sylvestris var. elliptius grows has been designated as the Natural Monument No. 163 and the overall valley where rare plants such as Rubus hongnoensis and whisk fern grow has been protected as Natural Monument No. 379.
Although Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls are not as big as Niagara Falls or the Moon, they have a certain charateristc of secrecy. Amount of water falling is varied with seasons but whenever it is, they have a kind of charm that can lure people. See a clip below.
